Description
Deep in the forest is a quiet spot, a place where I sit and read. Sometimes I just sit and ponder the beauty of the sun as specks of light break through the leaves and dance on the pages of my text. Renoir would have loved the play of the light. I think my favorite moment is that instance that the breeze swishes the branches and shakes the leaves. Some will fall around me as a testimony to the movement of the breeze. I will catch them and press them between the pages of my book, a remembrance of a moment in time.
This piece was done by hand with a palette knife. Each small touch of the paint from the knife produced a leaf, a piece of bark, or a small teeny tiny ray of light. The result is a feeling of depth as if you can see way into the forest. Do you see me there? Stay just a little longer and you will feel the breeze ...
