Description
Set off the fireworks! Strike up the band! Toss the confetti! Throw a ticker tape parade and celebrate what you know WILL happen. Sure, maybe you haven't found the right job, dated the perfect man or woman, passed the test, or figured out that problem that's been worrying you. But you CAN. That's what is important. You have to believe that you CAN.
................................................................................................................................ This painting is the perfect gift for someone who is depressed or who just needs some encouragement. It's a way to show your support, that you care, and that you believe in that person to figure things out. When you are depressed, it's a real battle not to give up. Can you dare to hope? YES... YOU CAN. You must.
................................................................................................................................... The two hands that have thumbs pointing downward are making the American Sign Language sign for the concept "CAN." If the signer moves those fists up and down alternately, the meaning of the sign changes to "maybe." So there's a lesson in holding firm... don't hedge, don't waver, don't let the winds blow you away. Don't become a "maybe." Be firm. Don't move. And don't stop believing that things can get better. You can do it. YES, YOU CAN.
................................................................................................................................ The hand to the far left of the painting is the universal "thumbs up" - way to go, good job, and you can do it! Here's a great big thumbs up to you for standing strong. Can you make it through the divorce? Yes, you can. Can you start over in a new place? Yes, you can. Can you pay that bill, beat that sickness, carry the baby in your womb to term? Yes, you can.
.................................................................................................................................. This art piece is mixed media, which means that several paints and inks were used to create it. The artist painted the hands with watercolor and acrylic, then digitally enhanced the overall canvas with graffiti and memorabilia. The last step was to deepen and intensify the colors. Buy the painting for yourself or a friend. Let it remind you that you are a capable person, full of determination and hope for tomorrow.
