Description
Giraffes are the tallest mammals on earth. They have long necks, skinny legs, and spotted markings. Of course, this giraffe has POLKA DOT markings to make the painting a little more fun!!
................................................................................................................................ This giraffe is also a bit of a flirt - those eyelashes bat at each person that passes by to entice the viewer to stop and play!! Polka-dotted giraffes have a lot of fun, you see! ........................................................................................................................
"Real" giraffes (the ones with spots instead of polka dots) live on the open plains of the African savanna and eat leaves from acacia trees. The lower leaves have thorns, but in the top parts of the tree branches are tender leaves that are just perfect for animals with long necks that can reach them for nibbling purposes. "Real" giraffes have spots that blend with the trees. Giraffes with polka dots really stand out and are noticed on their owners' walls.
................................................................................................................................. This painting was done freehand and then digitally enhanced to intensify the colors. The blues, purples, reds, and yellows are vibrant and fun. The image is perfect for a bathroom, kitchen, or playroom; but especially for a baby or child's room. It would also be so cute in a daycare facility, school, nursery, church, or other place where children come to play and learn.
............................................................................................................................... Available in a variety of media, including on canvas, as an acrylic or metal print, a framed print, unframed print, poster, or cards, Fine Art American ships within three days of purchase.
................................................................................................................................ A companion piece (a goat painted in the same style as this giraffe) can be found at http://fineartamerica.com/featured/somebody-got-your-goat-eloise-schneider.html .
