Description
The light filters through the window panes, glistening on the antique porcelain teapot. An old - but still beautiful - vase sits partially hidden behind the teapot, from which antique roses and leaves tumble over, a few petals gracing the tablecloth. Perhaps the two cups are set for a romantic morning tryst, a rendezvous between lovers, a second honeymoon ... or maybe the tea is the start of a breakfast for two, basking in the rays of the sun as they sit together at the tiny table. The setting is romantic in every sense of the word.

This impressionistic piece was created by using an impasto technique where each color was laid on, one layer at a time. The result is a feeling of depth and dimension. This is an absolutely gorgeous painting - teal, blue, pink, rose, lemon yellow - colors of the morning. Square format. Morning tea for two.
