Artist's Description
This is a fabulous painting and was a part of an even more fabulous project! Standing on its own merits, the overall feel of the painting is childlike, with an innocent wonder in the air. It is almost like a fairytale, the tree dancing as the children walk by. The colors and shapes lend to the surreal nature of the piece, making the viewer yearn to gather all the little bits of magic that linger and put them in a basket of hope for the future. Surely there is fairy dust in those branches!

This art piece was created by artist Eloise Schneider and Gallery Owner Chip Kirkland for Boys and Girls Clubs of America; then it was signed by Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee, who has always shown great interest in Boys and Girls Clubs. The painting was auctioned for Boys and Girls Club funding and the original hangs in the offices of Boys and Girls Clubs.
