Description
Imagine sitting on the back porch of a cabin, feet propped on a milk can ... ahem!... sun's going down ... bring in the sunflowers and dream of more lazy days of summer.
This pot was my grandmother's. She used it to water her irises. Displaying sunflowers in the antique pot is reminiscent of days long gone, a little bit sad, a lot whimsical. I love this piece. Bright and happy, yet nostalgic at the same time. Like Granny used to say: Everybody needs a big ol' pot.

Lovely and nostalgic digital painting! Congratulations on your feature on Memories and Nostalgia!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment and feature in the group Memories and Nostalgia. The painting has an oil background of black and purple. Then I painted the pot and the sunflowers in acrylic to really make them bright. I have some digital paintings, but this isn't one of them - it was all done with brushes. Thanks again for the feature!
