Description
In the New Testament, the Kingdom of God is compared to the planting of seeds and then the harvest. There are those who "plant seeds", telling people about a God who loves them. Perhaps there are many seed sowers in someone's life - a praying mother, a friend, a role model - then one day, the seeds that were sown and watered become a plant. That plant may struggle at first when it is young, but it develops into a plant that understands the Son and and Living Water, so much so, that it gives itself over to the Creator. Then the reapers come, showing the plant how to remain connected with the Creator of the Seed forever. The Kingdom of God needs both sowers and reapers.
This painting focuses on the scripture written on the scroll. The fields are visible, but in soft focus. This gives it a vignette or vintage look.
