Description
This early American pharmacy shows the vastness of an already budding field of science. Viles of medicines line the shelves while other herbs and dried products are kept in boxes only to be opened when it is time for them to mixed in portions. Many household items are also available for purchase, as the pharmacy often carried general store merchandise as well, especially in the smaller towns. Some doctors' offices manned a pharmacy or apothecary type facility in the front of buildings where they saw their patients in a back office.
The original is in a private collection (belonging to a pharmacist)!

hello i found this on a ACEO art card and it is also signed by you
Eloise Schneider Mote replied:
Now, that's cool! I remember when the ACEO craze was at its height. Even then, I thought it was a neat idea because it gave people a venue to collect art that wasn't too expensive.
