Description
Hooves beat the ground as horses race across the land, their muscles working in concert, five beautiful beasts moving as a unit. Nostrils flare and their eyes burn in the whirling dust kicked up by the fury of their run. Still, they press on. What motivates the need for such speed? The viewer wonders if the horses have initiated a stampede because of an unseen enemy or if they are kicking up dust just for the thrill of running free. Either way, the joy is in the moment. The goal is simply to run.
.....................................................
This painting was created with strong brush strokes that reflect the fast pace of the horses. The wind rushes through, whipping their manes and tails with fervor and intensity. Mighty muscles respond with magnificent strength and determination. Notice how the head of the leader bends into the wind, while the others lead with their noses as they strive to keep up. No one lags behind. They gallop on.
..........................
A strong sense of motion is painted into every stroke of this painting. Rust, browns, and grays stand out against a blue sky. The painting has depth and dimension and colors are taken straight from nature.
...................................
Impressionistic in style, this painting embodies the emotion of the moment, the thrill of the run. Viewers feel the rush of the wind and know they too can find freedom, if only for the few minutes they gaze on the painting. Imagine being able to run wild, your only responsibility the love of living.
