Description
Water lilies - or Nymphaeaceae - are a family of flowering plants that are aquatic. Members of this family are commonly called water lilies and live as in temperate and tropical climates around the world. The family contains eight large-flowered genera with about 70 species. Water lilies have been subjects of art for centuries. They were, in fact, depicted by the French artist Claude Monet (1840-1926) in a series of paintings.
