According to Native American Legend, couples were married on Romance Cliff and the groom shot a lighted arrow down toward the water. If the arrow remained lit until it hit the water, then the marriage was sure to be a long and happy one. If the arrow went out before reaching the river ... well ... it was just going to be a long marriage.
