Description
This painting is particularly exciting to me as it combines both my first loves: God's Word and American Sign Language. Portrayed here, you see American Sign Language, ASL, expressing the concept of WORSHIP. The fingers are interlaced and the hands clasped together in a motion that even those who don't know or understand ASL could interpret as an act of worship. What a beautiful, all-encompassing message in scripture and ASL art! The entire verse on which this painting is based goes like this:
"Come, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker." Psalm 95:6 Truth from Scripture, interpreted through the beauty of American Sign Language.
